Interested in watching an event AND participating in it but not paying anything but time? Then being an event volunteer is just the ticket for you! All of our events are in need of volunteers. Suffice it to say that without volunteers to help run the events, none of our races or outings would be possible.
As a volunteer you'll generally avoid the brush and mud (but there are volunteer spots that "get dirty" for those of you just needing the chance to bond with the back country like the participants in the event). You'll also generally avoid the crowded course (but look out when the mob decends onto your volunteer location!). And of course we make sure the weather is ALWAYS perfect for our volunteers (except when it rains, snows, blows, broils....). In fact, volunteering is so much fun we see as an event in of itself!!!
What all of our volunteers DO get is our undying appreciation and admiration for helping bring our events to life. There's also the food at the finish line. And of course all volunteers get a free event shirt. Additionally, all our vounteers are eligble to enter one equal cost event for free (or credit for that amount towards a more expensive event) over the next 12 months.
